Die Cast * .1/18
1964 Corvette GS Coupe #14 - ETO RLG18027
Grady Davis entered chassis 004,
still wearing it's Mecom Blue metallic paint, in
the season opening USRRC race at Augusta International
Speedway to be piloted by Don Yenko. Yenko had considerable
driving experience in the original, smaller engine
Corvettes but this was his first and only drive
in the Grand Sport since they had been extensively
modified for Nassau. Since this car was to compete
at Sebring, just two weeks later, Yenko did not
push the Grand Sport to it's full capability. After
a smooth, uneventful drive, Yenko finished 11th
overall. This high precision miniature is designed
in 1:18 scale. It is over 9.5 inches long with a
full die-cast body, independent free-rolling metal
chassis, and a superb 11 step paint finish. It is
hand assembled from over 220 scaled precision parts.
Each wonderful replica features an independant tubular
chassis, full opening parts, working suspension,
accurate mechanical components, and a fully wired
and plumbed engine. Special features include a carpeted
interior, authentic Halibrand wheels, and either
Goodyear or Firestone rubber-like tires. Everywhere
you look at this model, it is a feast for the eyes!
